Mrs. Lierre’s steel driveway gate warped a little over the years, and would no longer open all the way. This wasn’t at the point of blocking the driveway, but she feared it would get worse, or that the gate would lose its ability to close as well.
Our Solution:
We softened a few key points near the hinges, and bent the single leaf gate back into its original alignment. It’s not as straight as it used to be, but Mrs. Lierre preferred that rather than getting a new gate. Most importantly, we oiled the gate and applied a new layer of waterproof paint to prevent further warping.
